First Team Program Overview

Program Name:

First Team
Tagline: “Your greatest team—is at home.”

Program Description:

First Team is a family-based personal development program designed to strengthen the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of young people and their caregivers. Rooted in the belief that a child’s first and most important team is their family, this program equips households with structured tools, guided exercises, and bonding activities that promote character growth, resilience, leadership, and unity—both at home and in life.

Delivered through monthly toolkits, in-person events, and optional virtual support, the program creates an intentional space for families to grow together while building discipline, self-awareness, and trust.

Program Goals:

  1. Strengthen family connection and communication

  2. Promote the holistic development of youth (mind, body, spirit, and heart)

  3. Equip caregivers with practical strategies to lead and support their “home team”

  4. Build a consistent, values-based structure for youth development outside of school and sports

Program Objectives:

Each participant family will:

  • Implement weekly family practices involving movement, reflection, and conversation

  • Learn and apply tools for mental resilience, goal-setting, and emotional regulation

  • Practice spiritual reflection and purpose discovery through journaling or guided discussions

  • Engage in monthly First Team Challenges that promote teamwork and growth

  • Use printables (affirmations, trackers, pledges) to build daily healthy habits

Desired Outcomes:

By the end of 3–6 months, families will demonstrate:

Area

Observable Outcome

How Outcomes Will Be Measured:

  1. Monthly Self-Assessment Check-ins

    • Short family surveys track confidence, connection, and consistency

    • Youth and parents rate their own progress on key life skills

  2. Participation Metrics

    • Toolkit completion rates, challenge submissions, journaling consistency

    • Attendance at events or group check-ins (if applicable)

  3. Feedback & Stories

    • Families are invited to submit testimonials and real-life wins

    • Reflections from youth about what they’ve learned or how they’ve changed

  4. Pre/Post Program Evaluation

    • Before/after assessments comparing growth in target areas: physical activity, confidence, communication, discipline, etc.
